and other forum created to adjudicate the dispute related to master- servant and also handled various matters pertaining to labour law like PF, ESI, Gratuity, banking law matters etc. He has been the Chamber Junior of one of the foremost practitioners of Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta who was awarded as the BEST EMERGING LAWYER OF HON’BLE CALCUTTA HIGH COURT, Late Hon’ble Mr. Justice Protik Prakash Banerjee, Judge of Hon’ble Calcutta High Court.
In the span of these 21 years, he has handled cases related to sick industrial company, labour law related matters and has successfully handled various notable cases independently and has appeared in all the forums created under the SICA Act, 1985 like BIFR and AAIFR at Delhi. He has been independently involved in several high-stake Company matters related to the Companies Act, 1956, Companies Act, 2013 and the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 and have several reported judgments, he is regularly appearing before various Benches of the National Company Law Tribunal throughout India and also before the Hon’ble National Company Law Appellate Tribunal and the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India particularly in relation to the matter of I & B Code, 2016.
In addition to above, he has also handled cases related to petroleum dealership, company matters particularly section 397 & 398, 434 of companies Act,) and civil matters including Arbitration matter, KMC maters, Right to Information Act 2005, etc. He has also acted as Legal Advisor to the public issue and right issue of Impex Ferro Tech Ltd and Rohit Ferro Tech Ltd. He has during the tenure of his practice worked with most of the Eminent Barrister’s/Senior Advocate of the Hon’ble Calcutta High Court and the Hon’ble Supreme Court, New Delhi.
Before he started practicing as an Advocate on Record, was mainly associated with Advocates and Solicitors firms who are in this field for more than 10 decades and also with few big corporate houses and industrial concerns as a Counsel but from last 13 years, he has been running his own firm namely Sharma &Sharma (Advocates & Legal Consultant) with the able support of several partners and associates.
His father, Sri Satya Narayan Sharma is a renowned practitioner in the eastern region and has written several books on Labour Law and Industrial Law and is a well-known name in the field of Labour laws.

Anand Sharma

Anand Sharma leads the Corporate and Commercial laws practice at Sharma & Sharma, having a sprawling experience of 25 years and has been a part of the Core Management team at different Corporates and have gained & possessed incisive legal acumen coupled with strong organizational and management abilities with a sense of judgement to strategize and evolve processes. Prior to this, he was leading the Group Corporate Legal and Company Secretary function at K K Birla Group.   • Negotiated & finalisation of transactions for hiving-off Cement Co. etc. for around Rs.400 crores to Dalmia Bharat
  • Negotiated & finalisation of transactions towards monetization of Forging unit for around INR 100 crore to Amtek Group.
  • Leading inhouse team in successfully carrying out legal due diligence for takeover of Dunlop India Ltd, Falcon Tyres Ltd and India Tyre and Rubber Co Ltd.
  • Negotiating and finalizing takeovers of new mining business including execution of definitive agreement.
  • Corporate restructuring  i.e. composite scheme of arrangement involving merger/ demerger of flagship company of Birla Sugar Group and reverse listing of new companies on nation-wide stock exchanges.

Arup Bannerjee

Mr. Arup Bannerjee is an Advocate on Record (AOR) at the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India since 2006. He started practicing in the Supreme Court of India in 1998 and became member of the Supreme Court Bar Association in 2001. During his early years of practice, he has been a junior to Late Mr. P.S. Arjun Asthana leads the firm's commercial dispute resolution and Criminal litigation team at New Delhi office. He graduated with a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science & Engineering and read law from Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. Having done various courses from reputed institutions like Stanford University, University of London (OSE), University of Virginia, George Washington University and WIPO Academy, Arjun was made a Member of Editorial Board in International Organization of Scientific Research and Development (IOSRD) in 2016.
